so, i have started watching american idol. i haven't really watched it since clay aiken lost in season two (due to a boycott), but i have watched almost every episode this season. yes, i am ashamed but still addicted. joe is often gone in the evenings and i find myself watching television shows that i can intelligently discuss with a 12 year old at a slumber party.
here's the problem...i'm watching american idol on monday nights, joe and i watch survivor thursdays and NOW dancing with the stars is kicking up in march on monday nights. and i would bet money that i'll start watching that every week, too. when did i become a tv junkie? i don't mind faithfully watching a show ONCE a week - but every week night has a show that i can't miss? i even penciled into my day planner the season premier of survivor. i KNOW  - who IS this girl?? what happened to going for walks, making photo albums, hanging out with friends, playing in the rain or wind, going to the movies.....oh wait. i know. we live in a new town and i have zero friends. so.................. i'm looking for a hobby. there are several things i'm interested in, but i'm not sure how to get started. i don't know. i guess i just want to vent and complain. that's one pastime i haven't given up!

k- four days later. kitchen's still not finished. and i think i hate the smell of paint. guess i know what i'll be doing all weekend....
